Punjab College of Science Gujranwala is located at an ideal site in a tranquil area of the city which offers a dynamic atmosphere for scientific education. PCS reached new heights of success in the session 2009-10. In the Intermediate Results 2009 of BISE Gujranwala, Haider Ali, Syed Zaid Ahsan Shah and Usama Javed Butt secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in F.Sc., Pre-Engineering (Boys Group). PCS produced record number of A+ grade in the FSC result 2009.
Entry Test preparatory classes, another venture of Punjab Colleges was a huge success. As a result of these classes, 170 boys and 50 girls got admission in different engineering colleges and universities only in the year 2009, where as the number of admissions in medical colleges and universities rose to 40 in boys and 85 in girls; surely an achievement par-excellence.
Working on the system of Social Corporate Responsibility’ Punjab College of Science trained one hundred selected post-graduates who wanted to join teaching profession. This one month course ended at a decent certificate Awarding Ceremony.
Punjab College of Science arranged a variety of programs to explore and polish the talent of our youth. New classes were welcomed by organizing welcome Iftaars. Where students got an opportunity to listen to some big names of the city and education field. Quiz Competitions brought learning and Fun. Murree Tour was a great enjoyment and Concert with Abrar – ul – Haq mesmerized the young lot. Annual Speech Competition was won by Abu Bakar Daud in Urdu & Taimoor Ahmad in English. The session ended with annual functions studded with remarkable performances of students and prayers and words of advice from their senior teachers.
