Punjab Group of Colleges decided to practically respond to the increasing demands of educationists and general public of this fast developing southern city of Punjab. The absence of quality education in a befitting environment was badly felt by all social classes of this area.

To establish PCS Rahim Yar Khan, a spacious locality at Khanpur Road was selected .It has an easy access from all corners of the city. The college campus is purposefully built and its lush green lawns provide a serene sight. Students have the facility of beautifully furnished air-conditioned classrooms along with the most modern and fully equipped Physics, Chemistry Biology and Computer Laboratories. A special Bio-museum has also been built to provide students with comprehensive knowledge. The finest multimedia system is provided in classrooms. These facilities help the learners to cope with rapid technological development.

The College prides itself on having a beautiful mosque where Jumma Prayer is offered. The air-conditioned College library has a very good stock of latest editions to quench the educational thirst of students. A seminar room is specially designed for student-teacher discussions.

Following the footsteps of its parent organization, the new bud also emphasizes the significance of co-curricular activities. A spacious auditorium is exclusively constructed to hold Quiz Programs, Debating Contests and Dramatic Performances. It has enough capacity to accommodate a large, audience. Annual sports competitions are staged regularly which provide opportunities to sportsmen in exposing their potential. PGC's sportsmen have won many laurels and titles in Board and University competitions. It is believed therefore that Punjab College of Science Rahim Yar Khan is the need of parents and students both.

It is a matter of great pleasure for the institution that our students, Ammad-ur-Rehman,Muhammad Haris and Sadia Nazir secured 1 st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in General Science Group while Muhammad Fazee! Muttahar got 2 n position in Pre-Engineering Group B1SE Bahawalpur.

The College also encourages co-curricular activities as are supportive in the real education.
