The premier city of the Potohar plateau, Rawalpindi is characterized by its growing demand for quality education. Identifying Science as one of the main concerns in the region, PGC established a Science College in Rawalpindi.
The facilities at the campus are unique. All classrooms are air- conditioned and equipped with multimedia systems. Great importance is attached to academic discipline, intellectual growth and personality development. Students enjoy the facilities of the most modern and well equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Labs for their practical training. They are helped by highly qualified and skilled lab staff.
Students are encouraged to participate in sports to develop a team spirit and leadership qualities. The intellectual focal point of the campus is its latest and most modern electro-print library that stocks a large collection of electronic aids, printed books and periodicals. An experienced librarian is always available to help students make the best use of resources offered by the library, which plays a pivotal role in strengthening academic as well as general learning. PCS Rawalpindi is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi.
The proof of our academic excellence is that PCS students Rabat AH and Atique Ahmed grabbed 1st & 2nd positions respectively in the Rawalpindi Board.
PCS always encourages its students to participate in extra-curricular- activities. PCS Rawalpindi won the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sports Trophy for the year 2006-2007 securing 1 s' Position in seven events namely Swimming, Gymnastics, Hand Ball, Lawn Tennis, Squash and Athletics while remaining runners up in four events i.e. Badminton, Hockey, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Table Tennis. Ans Hakeem was declared the "Best Swimmer" for the year 2006-2007.
To satiate the educational needs of the students, quiz programs are arranged on regular basis. To lessen the strenuous educational burden, the college arranged different recreational programs like a short trip to Murree and a long trip to Kalaam. A colorful Cultural Show, Funfair and Mushaira were also arranged during the current academic session.
